Alberta
(AMA,
1971) promotes understanding, access and excellence within Alberta's
museums for the benefit of society.
British
Columbia Museums Association (BCMA, 1957) provides a unified
voice for the institutions, trustees, professional staff and volunteers
of the BC museum and gallery community. The BCMA delivers a number of
programs to the benefit of its members and the cultural community, including
granting programs, youth work assistance, and technology support. The
BCMA is the cultural information hub for British Columbia.
Association
of Manitoba Museums (AMM, 1972) is a not-for-profit, charitable
organization dedicated to promoting excellence in preserving and presenting
Manitoba's heritage.
Association
of Museums of New Brunswick (AMNB)
is a not-for profit organization dedicated to the enhancement of museum
standards. It also represents institutions and individuals interested
in the preservation and promotion of New Brunswick's cultural, natural
and artistic heritage.
Foundation
of Nova Scotian Heritage (FNSH,1976) is a non-profit, private
sector umbrella organization which supports and promotes heritage for
the benefit of all Nova Scotians through education, advocacy and networking.
FNSH serves a membership of over 160 member organizations including
museums, historic and genealogical societies, archives, universities,
galleries, preservation groups, and individuals interested in supporting
Nova Scotian heritage.
Museums
Association of Newfoundland & Labrador (MANL)
is an organization of individuals and groups working towards the preservation
of cultural and natural heritage. MANL serves as a communications network
among museums and heritage societies within the province.
Ontario
Museum Association (OMA/AMO) advocates for museums and
museum workers, provides leadership in the discussion and development
of strategies for the evolution of museums, and serves as a central
source of information that will meet the needs of museums and museum
workers as they face the challenges of today and the future.
Community
Museums Association of Prince Edward Island (CMAPEI,1983)
has a mandate to foster and support historical societies and community
museums, and as facilitate communication between the various museums,
governments, and other relevant organizations.

Museums
Association of Saskatchewan (MAS) promotes the preservation
and understanding of our culture and heritage by serving museums, art
galleries and heritage sites, and working for their advancement. The
Association is a collective of 200 member organizations who enjoy the
benefits of advisory, educational and financial support. MAS has developed
resources for practical use including the publication "Standards
for Saskatchewan Museums".
Yukon
Historical and Museums Association (YHMA,1977) serves as
an umbrella organization for Yukon museums and historical societies.
YHMA is an active Yukon-wide society, cooperating with museums, governments,
institutions, and the public to carry out its mandate, "to preserve,
interpret and protect the Yukon's heritage resources."
