Main Museum - Gift Shop:

The mining museum is located in the old Giant Mine recreation hall, a building that has been fixed up to house the museum's artifact and archival collection, plus a gift shop, small tea room, and offices and storage for the facilities small support staff. At the entrance to the building is a small-scale replica of the Con Mine's former Robertson shaft headframe, a Yellowknife landmark that was torn down when Con Mine closed.

The Gift Shop and reception area is the first room in the museum building. Visitors can pick up mining related souvenirs and memorabilia here and prepare for the rest of their experience at the museum.
