interested. Please note that grade levels are suggested, but programs can be adapted according to your needs.

SCIENCE and NATURAL HISTORY
Animal Adaptations (Gr. 3-10)
Build a Beaver or a Raven! Students will learn how animals adapt to their environment in this interactive program. (Available in French)
The Three Bears! (Gr. 1-3)
Students will take a look at the three types of bears found in the NWT. Program includes slide show, activities and gallery tour. (Available in French)
Rock On! (Gr. 4-10)
Learn about the history of prospecting and mining in Yellowknife as well as the fascinating world of rocks and minerals.

English Chief & Alexander Mackenzie (Gr. 5-10)
Artifacts, maps, video, role-playing and a gallery tour offer lively hands-on learning programs about this well-known explorer and his guides. (Available in French)
Inuvialuit Lifeways (Gr.3-10)
Take a closer look at the traditional lives of the Inuvialuit through video, artifacts and hands-on activities. (Available in French)
Dene Lifeways (Gr. 3-10) Take a closer look at the traditional life of the Dene through artifacts, video and hands-on activities. (Available in French)
Archaeology and Artifacts (Gr. 5-10)

Yellowknife Tales (Gr. 3-10)
What was it like to live in this area during the age of volcanoes? Early explorers? The Fur Trade? The Gold Rush? The Diamond Days? Take a look at how our city grew!
Tales from a Trading Post (Gr. 4-10)
Using drama, this interactive program takes students back to the early days of the fur trade.
Ravens and Rockhounds (Gr. 4-10)
The ghost of Yellowknife prospector and naturalist, William McDonald, shares his love of the land with entertaining stories of discovery, from minerals to mallards.
Arctic Explorer (Gr. 6-12)
Viljalmur Stefansson, the controversial leader of the 1913-1918 Canadian Arctic Expedition, regales students with colourful tales of arctic exploration.
